Please Vote for Me - 32nd HKIFF

A hilarious yet a "scary" of how democray are run in China..well, at least in a primary school where a class of students who has the chance to choose their own class prefect. This is an very interesting study of how democary are run and more importantly, what is democray and what does it mean to children in China. Sadly, it reveals almost the darker side of contempoary kids (with middle class background). They are as "evil" as grown up adult when they try to grab every possible vote they can. Parents become their brian trust and try to help his/her kids to be successful at any cost, including "bribing" the class for a field trip for free and practices their election speech as if they are running for presidency for US. While laughing out loud at the theatre, the chilling fact of kids act like adults always serve as timely reminder to the fact that, they are just 9 years old kid. Can we please spare some naiveness to them?
