A married woman

Watched this yesterday as part of my on going film course with Godard, then while searching for more information about the film, A married woman, I bumped into this chinese BT site which have this poster there...it almost sums up how this movie looks like.
Rare to see a sex scene in a film which only show nothing but different body parts, being layout in such a beautiful yet cold composition. Doesn't give any sense of plesaure or eroticism at all. That gives me a lot of distance feeling between the lovers, or indeed modern days ppl relationship with one another, much like those given by early Antoninoni films. We don't know what our other half is thinking, or more still, we don't really care either, as we are giving too much time on our self induglence or so-call career.
Also brought out from this film was the idea of present vs or memory. Which one would you rather living in? Many years ago, she "debated" with me about this topic. Not sure whether it is a woman thing or not, but I feel female is easier to live in the "present" then man does. Maybe it is just me, sometimes, I remember too well of things which should not remember that well (and conveniently forget something which is more important.), Maybe living in the present is less painful because you don't need to remember that much. Maybe living in the present gives you more focus to what you can control, which is better than linger to past which you can't do anything about it... Or maybe, I just don't have the "guts" to forget the comfort/sense of security from the past, while facing the uncertain, riskly future.
